GRANT WRITING +
fUND sOURCING

Often times we work with clients to help define a project they have been thinking about as a means to locate and secure funding to make projects a reality. In this regard we have a dedication to tracking down funding as well as establishing connections within our networks to create access to knowledge, funding, technical assistance or other resources. We work at multiple layers of local, state, federal, tribal, non-profit, corporate, volunteer, philanthropic, grassroots and more.

featured grant-writing project

Imagine Durant is a partnership for envisioning the future of Durant through creating community dialogues; focusing on health, education, the environment, the economy, culture and community of Durant, followed by a phased plan of action. Imagine Durant will re-envision the community of Durant by focusing on partnership, civic engagement and the alignment of goals and vision shared by the different voices of the community.

Imagine Durant is a community based initiative for creating a unified vision for the future, and the strategies to make it happen.

Blue Star worked side by side with the Imagine Durant non-profit located in Durant, OK as well as Integral Cities on community engagement; data gathering & research; logic model and prioritization; stakeholder management; assisted with grant-writing and organizational capacity-building; project narratives and reports; task orders. Various stakeholders engaged include the City of Durant, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, First United Bank, Landmark Bank, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Durant Area Chamber of Commerce, Durant Industrial Authority, Three Valley Museum, Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival, Durant Public Schools, Durant Boys & Girls Club, and many others.
This project provides a powerful data set and compass for the future of the City of Durant for many years to come. This framework can be used to then undertake more robust strategic planning and budgeting exercises to make tangible improvements as the years go by.
